H2. Matt Lamb Interview

For this interview I spoke with Matt Lamb and got to know him better. The only time I really talked with him and met him was in this class, and I am glad because I love to meet new people! Matt Lamb is a freshman at Alden High School this year. He likes high school way better than middle school. He probably feels the same way I do as I made this change, which was excited for having more freedom. The biggest difference though was the length of the classes he thinks. Matt’s freshman year is going pretty well so far, and he can’t wait to see what the rest of his high school career brings. For the future, right at this moment, Matt does not know what he wants to do when he grows up. Many high school students have this problem, but in the end, they usually have something very interesting picked out to do. This is definitely what Matt is hoping for. He does not know where he wants to go to college either, which is still fine. In school, Matt plays JV football in the fall, Varsity Swimming in the winter, and track in the spring. This is because as a freshman, they really don’t have to think too deep into that just yet.  Matt’s favorite animal is a grizzly bear and his favorite food is pizza. He likes the color blue and in his spare time, he likes to watch TV and play video games. Matt has six members to his family. His favorite memory was with them. He went to Ceadar Point and had a blast! It was his favorite memory because it was his first family vacation, and he has a ton of fun! One last fact about him is that his birthday is on August 15th and his dream present is to receive a laptop. It was nice getting to know Matt Lamb.

H3. Changing the World

Recently there was a huge tragedy that happened in an elementary school in Connecticut. This was one of the most terrible things I have ever seen happen. I think every day how special life really is, and how to not take it for granted. I wonder how people can really do this to people. Yes, I know that he was mentally ill, but people like that still have to have common sense. This is just what I believe. I don’t know if they can, but I believe that deep down they still do. But, doing this to innocent little children is just wrong. I couldn’t imagine what the families are going through, especially during the Christmas season. I think about it, and I just want to go and be there for those people. And, this is how I would like to help and change the world for the better. I want to help and make people more aware of their surroundings. This whole situation could have been avoided. I feel that with this people should have more common sense. There had to of been signs of this boy acting in weird ways. And, if people aren’t aware of this, then this is what I want to help do, to raise awareness. Lately in today’s society, this is a big issue. And, I want to be the person to step up and show people how we can stop these things from happening, and possibly, like in this case, save lives. I am not quite sure how I will do this yet, however I will figure it out, even if it is more in the future. I truly want to try and show people that they need to be more aware. And, I believe with determination, I can do this. And, in the end I will feel better, knowing I tried to help.

H1. Raeanne Nicole Over

So, for this blog I am going to talk about Raeanne Over. First of all, I’m going to start off by telling the story on how Raeanne and I met. Well it started off in 8th grade when I played with Alden in the summer league basketball. She was definitely one of my first friends from Alden, and I am so glad that I met her. It was nice to get to know new people, and she is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. Raeanne and I have the best times together. When I am around her, it is so hard to not laugh! Seriously, my stomach hurts after being around her. I love it! We have our own little inside jokes that no one else will ever know, and we laugh like idiots every time we bring them up. And, this year I sit next to her in Online Publishing and it is a blast! We JAM OUT the whole time to the best music. Our new favorite song is Fabulous from High School Musical 2. We got the dance moves down and everything! And, we sit next to Devon, and we never stop laughing then either! He constantly makes faces at us that are definitely priceless! Other than our funny times, we also have our serious girl to girl talks. I can tell her anything and everything. She is a really good listener and always knows what to say. Raeanne and I relate to many things in life, which makes it easy to talk to her. She always has a bright spirit and knows how to put a smile on your face. I don’t know what I would do without this girl. My life would not be the same without her a part of it! I’m very glad I became such good friends with her.

H4. Memories Never Fade

If I could go back in time, I would go back to 1990’s because that was when my grandparents were still alive. I still have my one grandpa, but I would love to have known my other three grandparents. I hear stories about them all the time; however I don’t really remember them. I only remember my grandma making me food. She made the best food. Her name was Grandma Dorothy. My Grandpa Frank was a pretty cool little guy. He was only about 5 foot tall, but had the biggest heart. Also, he always gave my sisters and i money when we didn’t even know what it was. He was a very sweet man. And, my Grandma Fran, I don’t remember her at all, but I have heard many great things about her. I know I would’ve loved her. I couldn’t imagine seeing them again. That would honestly be one of the best days of my life. I would definitely be speechless. I would have so many questions to ask and things to figure out. This experience would be an adventure itself. I would do whatever they wanted to do. I wouldn’t mind just sitting down and talking to them the whole day. I would also just like to take a walk in the woods with them for a little stroll. My face would definitely hurt by the end of the day from never-ending smiling. I think about this a lot and wonder what they would be like, and what I would remember about them. I miss my grandparents so much. Even though I do not remember the memories we had together, I know they are always in my heart. I would give everything to see them again. But, I will see them again someday. The thought of them will never fade♥

G4. Alden High School Spirit

Alden High School is the most school spirited school that I have ever known. Everyone always gets into every school activity. No matter what it is everyone always goes all out. This is especially when it comes to football season and battle of the classes. Football season is a big part of our school. Not only do the students love it, but the whole town also. On a Friday night, Alden is like a ghost town because everyone is at the game. No one passes up a good Alden football game. No matter what the weather was, our stands were always full. And, it was always still so much fun because it didn’t matter how cold it was, it was about supporting the team and having fun with the people there in your blue and gold. I miss football season so much. It is definitely my favorite time of year to go support our guys’ team. I was always something to do on a Friday night. And, it helped that out team was really good. We went really and it was so exciting to be a part of such great fans. Alden was named to have the best fans, and that rocks! I can’t wait for the football season next year. Another thing that we are very school spirited about is battle of the classes. Each class has competitions against each other. WE don’t take this lightly. Everyone goes all out and is very intense. And, looking good is a big deal too! Last year, a group of girls and I all got ready together for this day, and we looked so good! We were reppin’ that sophomore green pretty well. And, for this year we will be getting ready together again, but reppin’ the yellow. I love going all out for these kinds of things! Can’t wait for the day!

G3. Change

I’m going back to the St. John’s days. That place has made me who I truly am today. And, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I remember coming from St. John’s to Alden. It was a huge change. Alden is a small school; however St. John’s is even smaller. There are so many more people and so much more freedom in Alden than St. John’s. However, people don’t know that you can get away with some things there. You just need to make the most of it. I have so many good memories there that will never be forgotten. Some of the best unique times were spent there. I will never forget them because they were that great. And, when I graduated I didn’t want to leave because I hate change, but also I knew I was ready. I was then excited to come to high school, especially because I had Lindsey there to help me. And, now this is probably what my little sister is going to be going through. She is even closer with her friends there and her class than I ever was. I feel that she is going to have an even harder time letting go, and I understand that. However, I am very excited to have her in the high school. Anne shadowed the other day, and it was so fun. She had a blast, and it was fun to talk about our day together. And, another thing to point out was that everyone loved her more than me! Hahaha! But, that happened with Lindsey’s friends and I too so it’s okay. So, when she gets to the high school, Anne will get through it easily because she knows many people already love her! When, it’s her first day next year, it will be great! But, also sad because it’s my last, first day! That is it for now!

G2. Final Fear!

So this event happened a while ago, but I am going to write about it anyways. Devon is writing about the same thing right now, but I don’t care. In October, Devon, Reiner, Macken, Cortney, Alyssa, and I went to a haunted house together. We all went to Final Fear and it was a blast! I even got coupons from Might Taco for two dollars off! Score 1 for Lauren! So, we all met at my house and chilled for a little bit, then final my mom drove us to Final Fear. The car ride was pretty fun, even watching my whole van getting inspected by Devon, Reiner, and Macken. When we got to the haunted house we had to wait in line outside, in the freezing cold can I point out. So, we get our tickets and walk into the one building filled with houses and got in line for the first one, which were the clowns. First off, Devon was freaking out because he hates clowns. It was hilarious because he almost punched the one in the face because he was so scared. But, we survived it! The next house we went into we had to get split up 3 and 3. My group was Reiner and Alyssa, and it was scary with small amount of people. Alyssa and I ran Reiner into a lot of walls because we jumped in fear so many times.  Then the next house we all went into was creepy. The fourth one was great! We got to fight zombies! We all got laser guns and had to shoot the zombies throughout so they couldn’t get you. It was so much fun! And, a pretty funny part was when Devon left Alyssa and she started crying because she is terrified of zombies. It was terrible, but so funny at the same time! And, then the fifth one was amazing. It was so intense, that we all came out practically sweating! It was a maze that took us a while to get out of. When, we got out of there, we waited outside for our ride and got chased by chain saw man. Also, this other big guy came over and creeped us out! The haunted houses experience was one to never forget!
